I was recently researching for factoids on carnivals and carousels for an article, and couldn't resist searching for imagery too. I remember vividly an imagery of my childhood, upon entering an indoor attraction, the first thing I saw was a grand carousel at the very center.
Now looking at these beautiful prints from two fine art photographers, I was transported back to the realm of make-believe.

The carousel seemed to have had both children and adults alike entranced since its very beginnings in Europe. Now some 400 years later, we are still in awe at the sight of it.

What about you? Do you get a feeling of awe every time you're near a carousel? What's your most vivid memory surrounding this merry merry-go-round?
